North Third Blackface
These photo encaustic framed panels are approx 20 x 9 inches in total with the central encaustic panel of 16 x 6 inches. They are the combination of several art styles from an award winning landscape photographer and Encaustic Artist.
Stylised and textured landscape image printed on giclee paper, on a hardwood ply panel, background treated with Shou Sugi Ban burning technique that preserves the wood and is in keeping with the encaustic theme, inserted into a bespoke, hand built re cycled wooden frame , wax and resin medium applied to the image in the photo encaustic style to create an ethereal look and textured finish.
Any additional or original metal hardware is returned to the piece after any burning or preservation treatment.
As these are one off, bespoke art pieces, although the central image will be the same, the encaustic (wax) texture may be different
As all art pieces are handmade to order, they are all unique. Whilst every effort will be made to emulate the product shown in the images, variations are to be expected as I are working with reclaimed timber, including all metal work on any product.
This can include, but is not limited to:
Slight colour variations
Slight size variations
Slight character variations
